Welcome to the place where sun and sea meets, the source of life, to the place of relaxation. Promajna got its name just to the Sun, which with its most beautiful exits joyfully promises above the mountain of Biokovo and freely spreads its rays towards the sea.

Pure air, which the slight breeze additionally enriches with oxygen, descends from the mountain through the greenery of pine trees, olive trees and vineyards, all the way to the white patch of the gentle promenade bay and mixes with the smell of crystal clear sea. Hospitable hosts have turned the former fishing village into one of the brightest tourist pearls of Dalmatia, where many come to rest and renew their health and life force.

The name Promajna appears for the first time in 1674, but a large number of archaeological finds (ceramics, amphorae, coins, etc.) tell about life in this area already in the 2nd century BC. The beginnings of tourism are linked to the construction of a nearby Children’s Village, a respiratory diseases.

For the last 10 years, Promajna has received several awards as one of the most sought after small tourist places on the Adriatic.

Promajna is truly a small pearl of Makarska Riviera, peaceful, quiet, with crystal clear and warm sea, preserved environment, ideal for a good and unforgettable vacation. Silk is on a beautiful beach, surrounded by olive trees and surrounded by pine forests. The Promajna Center is dominated by the bell tower and the spacious church of All Saints, built in 1999. Today it is a nicely decorated place with all the basic facilities needed for tourists (post office, shops, tourist agencies, exchange offices), and in local restaurants offer gastronomic specialties of Dalmatian and international cuisine. The Adriatic highway and the promenade along the sea are connected with Makarska (6 km) and Baska Vodica (4 km).
